The Center for Technology Licensing (CTL) is Cornell University's technology transfer office. We manage technology for Cornell's Ithaca campus, Weill Cornell Medical Colleges, Cornell Tech and the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva.
Technology Licensing Officer
Carolyn manages a diverse portfolio of technologies covering advanced materials and synthesis, nanotechnology, energy & cleantech, energy conversion and storage, robotics, actuation, additive manufacturing, sensors, and fibers & textiles. Previously, Carolyn managed a portfolio of life sciences technologies, and provided technology and marketing support for technologies in the physical sciences.
Prior to joining CTL, Carolyn was Director of Marketing at Primet Precision Materials, an advanced battery nanomaterials company in Ithaca, NY. With more than 20 years of industry experience, including various positions in business development, technical marketing, and manufacturing at Corning Incorporated, she has worked with a wide variety of technologies and markets.
Carolyn received an SM in Management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BE in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. She is a member of the Licensing Executives Society and the Association of University Technology Managers.
