Senior Licensing and Business Development Officer
Lukasz liaises between companies and inventors at Weill Cornell Medicine, and Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, specializing in neurology, rare disease, oncology and other areas, helping to develop early assets and transition them to the commercialization stage. He previously worked as a Business Development Officer at University of California in Los Angeles, developing technologies and launching companies in the therapeutic and diagnostic space, as well as bringing in and negotiating sponsored research and other contracts. Prior to that he worked at Merck KGaA in Darmstadt, Germany, conglomerate of brands such as EMD Serono, MilliporeSigma, sourcing and incubating innovative projects across different business sectors, and as a BD consultant at a boutique firm in the Bay Area working with large companies and startups alike. He is thrilled to work with WCM’s prolific faculty, and serve as an agent of their work and a commercial and IP advisor whenever necessary.
Lukasz holds an MSci in Chemistry from University of Cambdridge, PhD in Neuroscience from Rockefeller University and completed postdoctoral work in chemical biology at Stanford University.
