SUMMARY:UIDP Xurban Cornell in Ithaca\, NY
DESCRIPTION:Innovation ecosystems thrive where ideas inspire collaborative partners to share an R&D vision. In the wake of the pandemic\, we’ve learned that innovation can surge wherever idea-driven people live and when a sense of urgency exists. Combined with renewed national interest and federal funding to establish innovation engines outside major metro areas\, we are poised to see new ecosystems grow where industry\, academia\, nonprofits\, and government combine forces and leverage each other’s assets to achieve outcomes not possible without cooperation. \n  \nThe result: new technology\, novel startup ventures\, and breakthrough solutions. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuilding on the work of the 2019 workshop\, you can view the report and workshop page for “U-I Engagement Outside Major Metropolitan Areas and Megacities.” UIDP Xurban Cornell will convene thought leaders from academic\, corporate\, government\, and non-profit sectors to consider practical and effective strategies. \n  \n\nThis workshop is in person and registration is required. \n\n\nRegister here.
