Tian Tang is an Innovation Fellow with the Business Development and Licensing Team at Cornell University’s Center for Technology Licensing (CTL). In her role, she leads technology marketing efforts across many technology and industry pillars, engages with inventors and industry partners, and supports the Director of Business Development and Licensing in technology evaluation, commercialization and relevant agreements, advancing Cornell technologies from the lab to the marketplace.

Tian first joined CTL through the Practicum Program, where she gained hands-on experience in technology evaluation and marketing before transitioning to her current role. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University in 2024, where her research focused on developing sustainable rechargeable batteries by suppressing physicochemical instabilities at electrochemical interfaces. She earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University.
