Most life science companies don’t fail because the science was wrong. They fail because no one validated the problem, the customer, or the market before spending years — and millions — building toward them.

Join the Center for Technology Licensing (CTL) for Customer Discovery in Early-Stage Life Sciences, a virtual conversation for researchers, faculty innovators, and aspiring founders working at the edge of translation. Attendees will learn how experienced practitioners approach customer discovery in regulated, technically complex life science markets, and how that work shapes everything from product design to capital strategy.

The panel features:

  • Audrey Beckman, Partner and Chief Innovation Officer at Boomerang Ventures, who evaluates and co-builds health tech companies
  • Dave Saunders, Product Development Advisor at AiM Medical Robotics, whose MRI-guided neurosurgery robot has just completed first-in-human trials
  • Dr. Amir Goldan, Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine and serial inventor of Prism-PET and NeuroTwain, who is currently navigating the leap from lab to market.
  • The discussion will be moderated by Donna Rounds, Ph.D., from CTL at Weill Cornell.
