Paul Debbie
Associate Director, Business Development & Licensing
Paul Debbie is Associate Director of Business Development and Licensing at Cornell’s Center for Technology Licensing (CTL). In this senior BD role, he leads biomedical and other life science portfolios, advancing promising innovations toward commercial and societal impact.
Paul brings more than 20 years of experience in technology transfer, licensing, business development, new venture creation, and commercialization. Most recently, he served as Director of New Business Development at the Boyce Thompson Institute (BTI), where he led business development activities and co-directed BTI’s Translational Science Program and startup incubator program. He previously served as BTI’s Director of Technology Transfer and Licensing, managing intellectual property portfolios, invention disclosures, and licensing activities.
With a background spanning biotechnology, agriculture, medicine, diagnostics, and new venture creation, Paul is deeply committed to helping researchers translate discoveries into products and companies that benefit society.
