Tian serves as a Business Development and Licensing Associate at Cornell University’s Center for Technology Licensing (CTL). She leads technology marketing and business development efforts across multiple industry pillars, engages with inventors and industry partners, builds portfolios and supports the Directors of Business Development and Licensing in technology evaluation, commercialization strategy and related agreements. Her work helps advance Cornell technologies from the lab to the marketplace.
Tian first joined CTL as an Innovation Fellow, where she gained hands-on experience in technology evaluation and marketing before transitioning to her current role. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University in 2024, with a focus on electrochemical materials and energy storage.
