Accelerating Bio Venture Innovation (ABI)

August 27 @ 5:30 am - 7:00 pm

Free

ABI is a 15-week course and training program in biomedical entrepreneurship that builds teams around patented technologies originating from Weill Cornell Medicine and neighboring institutions. Through the program’s experiential format, participants step into the shoes of startup founders and product innovators. With input from a combination of industry mentors and MBA students, the teams create business plans in the form of investor pitches. The class culminates in a final pitch event in front of VC judges.

If you are interested in participating, the inaugural ABI class will take place on Tuesday, August 27, from 5:30-7pm in Uris Auditorium. The kick-off will feature a lecture and interview with Annie De Groot, MD, Founder & CSO of EpiVax, Inc., located in Providence, RI. EpiVax specializes in computational immunology tools for epitope discovery, de-immunization, and vaccine design, and collaborates closely with the FDA on regulatory methods for generic peptide drugs. Dr. De Groot is the author of over 240 publications and 50 patents and has generated over $35M in US federal funding.

Anyone interested in joining this program must complete the form available HERE.
