MedTech Innovations: Leveraging Cornell Alumni Expertise

April 25 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Careers Beyond Academia and the Center for Technology Licensing bring together alumni in the medical device space to provide a holistic view of that industry. The objective is to explore how established corporations and startup companies push forward medical device innovations into the market.

Our panel of guest speakers—industry-experienced alumni and professionals, and Cornell-affiliated startup founders —will share their expertise and experiences to highlight the diverse avenues to commercialization. It is also an occasion to hear their individual journeys and lessons learned.

This hybrid event is open to all (students, postdocs, and faculty researchers in any discipline), and it includes a networking session where in-person attendees can connect with speakers following the panel discussion.

Location: BioTechG01 @‌11:30am-1:30pm. Lunch will be provided. Register now!

About the speakers:

  • Anthony D’Amato, Co-Founder of Anova Biomedical & Ignite Fellow
  • David A. Putnam, Associate Dean for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, College of Engineering, Samuel B. Eckert Professor in Engineering at the Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering and the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University
