The U.S. Government funds basic and applied research across many disciplines using multiple funding agencies. This presentation will focus on funding processes used by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) but will also be relevant to other DoD funding agencies (Army Research Office, ARO; Office of Naval Research, ONR). The presentation will address topics related to the Broad Agency Announcement or BAA; white papers; proposal submission; funding timelines; program reviews; reports; domestic and international collaboration; and communications – all from the mindset of the program officer.

Speakers

  • Kenneth Caster, Ph.D. Program Officer, Organic Materials Chemistry, Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR)
  • John Luginsland, Ph.D. Program Officer, High-Energy Radiation Matter Systems, Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR)

Bring your questions! We look forward to a rich discussion.
